Holiday Time

So, its been a while since I posted. Sorry, all I can say is that my tootie is keeping me extra busy. The holidays were great, we had Thanksgiving at our house which was lots of fun. And of course, Christmas was wonderful. Amelia was very excited to see her presents from Santa. We went to see Santa and all she could talk about was HoHo holding Amelia and playing with his hair...but of course when it came down to it, she wanted Mommy to hold her :) So, Mommy and Amelia both had their picture taken with Santa. Now, of course we are trying to get ready for our new baby and tootie's 2nd birthday. She is absolutely obsessed with Elmo, so we are going to have an Elmo party!!! We recently had a sonogram, and the baby weighs 2.5 lbs already, at 26 weeks....only 2 weeks ahead!!!! Goodness, this is going to be interesting :) We also moved Amelia to a toddler bed, which she has done GREAT with! She only wakes up about once a night and sometimes not at all, which helps Mommy alot:) Everyone is doing great. Amelia is growing up sooo fast and becoming a BIG girl so quickly, it amazes me to watch her everyday. She learns sooo much all of the time and has turned into a little chatterbox:) Its adorable....I'm so in love with my precious babies:)

Long Overdue!!!

So, I have totally slacked on my blogging in the past couple of months so now I am going to try and catch up. Well, the month of August was filled with lots of exciting things, Amelia Grace has a new baby cousin. Aden Hunter Bourgeois was born on August 18th to my brother and his wife. He is absolutely adorable and Amelia just loves him! She actually gets very upset when we have to leave him with his mommy and daddy after visiting them. Its too funny. However, it makes me very happy to know that she is soooo open to the idea of a baby being around. On August 12th Mommy found out that Amelia Grace is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! We are super excited to be welcoming another sweet addition to our family. If all goes as planned we will meet the new little one next April, right after Amelia turns 2! Now that I've gotten over the morning sickness things are going great. Another new development is Amelia Grace's newly found obsession with watching Elmo. She will bring us the dvd and say "wrach amo" it is so cute. She has learned so much in the past few months, her vocabulary has grown enormously. She repeats everything and loves to say no. She also now says "yuv you mommy and yuv you daddy", which of course melts us on the spot. It amazes me how fast she picks up on things. She will point to my belly and say baby and she gets her doll and play bottle and says "i fee her." My little princess is growing up sooo fast! Another funny new something that she loves is to have her toes painted, can we be more girly!! I just love it.....

Something else we are trying is a tumbling class at the local dance studio. Unfortunately Amelia Grace doesn't do well without Mommy, so we are trying to help her learn that its ok not to have Mommy all the time. Last night was the first night, and I have to say I'm very proud of her. She cried a little, got a tad of vomit on the teacher but she stayed for the whole hour. I know it will take some time, but she will be fine. Pretty soon, she'll be waving bye to me to go in and play...

We did unfortunately deal with the flu as well this month, which was pretty yucky. She did really well though, and after about 5 days she was back to her old self. Well, I think thats enough for now. I just have to say that Jason and I are so incredibly blessed and are so excited about our little girl growing up and about our new baby on the way!!!!!

Vacation 2009

So, we took our very first vacation as a family this month. Dedad, Meme, Aunt KayKay and Mia also came with us. We spent the night in N.O. and went to the zoo. Of course, Amelia loved it. We left the zoo at nap time and drove to our condo in Biloxi. We stayed there for 3 days and had lots of fun. Amelia really liked the sand and the water. She loved the pool, too. We had a great time with the family and our sweet baby girl!!!

So, a lot has happened the past few weeks. I have totally slacked on my posting but we have been super busy! First, Amelia got a brand new baby cousin: Layton Michael was born a few weeks ago. You should see her reaction to him, she loves him! It is soooo adorable. It really surprised me to be honest, she just wants to sit by him and rub his head and kiss on him. It makes me soo happy that she responds this way to him, maybe it will be easier when we have #2. My little girl is getting sooo big! Well, besides the new baby cousin Amelia experienced her first ambulance ride and ear infection....go figure right! She woke up in the middle of the night and looked like she was having a seizure, so off to the ER we went. Thankfully, it was not and everything was ok. Then the next week it turned out she was getting an ear infection. Which I have to say we've done pretty good, since this was our first one at 14 months..anyways. She is such a big girl, she took all her medicine with no trouble! My little sweetheart is growing up so fast, I just don't know what to do with myself. We also started little gym this month and she LOVES it! She isn't too fond of the teacher yet, but that will come. She is soo cute when she does her front roll! :) And she walks across the balance beam like she is sooo big! Its adorable, she is so much fun! She even helped Mommy make Daddy a cake recently. She liked when it was time to put the icing on it, of course:) Well, thats our update for now....we are really looking forward to Father's Day and can't wait to post pics....we have some great surprises for Daddy and Pappy and Dedad!!!

Daddy's Little Helper

Well, this weekend Miss Amelia Grace was stuck like glue to her Daddy. He has been working a lot lately and I guess she just missed him. It was too cute! She had to be everywhere he was, he even had to hold her while he ate...it was funny. He was washing his truck in these pics and she was loving on him, rubbing his head and being such a big helper. She is definitely so in love with her Daddy! (Can't blame her though :)

So, lately Amelia has been learning lots of new things. She loves to play with things that she is not supposed to have, such as trying to take the protective cover off of the outlet!! She also drew Daddy a masterpiece on the tile recently :) Thank goodness for washable crayons....She loves to be outside, and has started to throw little fits when we try to come back inside! She is sooo much like her Daddy its scary! At my mom's house for mother's day, she had to join her Aunt Katie and cousin Mia in the ice chests...my family is truly CAJUN...they wanted to cool off! Amelia splashed and laughed, it was adorable. She is growing so fast, I just love watching her discover and learn....its so precious.
